Being Nostalgic

Well, I just finished my in-class essay, thanks guys, for not giving me topics! :P :) I figured it out though, I did it on department stores, Factory-2-U, K-mart, and Kohls. It was a lot of fun. Now I am just sitting here because I am going to stay for about twenty minutes or something in case Myra (someone in my class sitting next to me) wants any help or anything. Plus, it's a good short opportunity to post! :)

In other news, I have choir practice tonight, I can't wait. I love choir, it' just so fun, but I definitely need to start practicing more. There are these songs I don't know yet, hehe. Ah, I gotta go home and do some school, my Spanish teacher is trying to force the test on my class on Thursday still even though realistically we can't do it, it'll be fun to see what happens when he gives it to us and none of us are ready for it, haha! Not really. But that's okay, I'll just start studying now. So I have to get gas in my car after this too, it should be fun. Anyway, that's all for right now. Matt still needs to post on our blog and he's a bum. What's his deal? O'well, maybe someday. :) (I did spell check on this one, Mom!) :)

Walking Around Black Tires in Mayorsville

Okay, well, I think Marv may have been offended that I did not make bigger note of his genius scheme. Things got a little "out of hand" as the meek would say. I did something or other, I honestly don't remember, but it pushed Casey over the edge, so he picked me up up-side-down and he and Josh decided they were going to throw me in the pool. So while David kept anyone else from freeing me, and Casey pulled me nearer the pool, Josh served as moral support and back-up. (Uhm, I mean Marvin). Well, Casey had me up-side-down now dangerously close to the pool, in fact, right over, and he decided to start putting my head under water, then, luckily, with Marv's excelent hearing, Dad said no one goes in the pool, thankyou Dad. Well, in the end, if I had gone in the pool, I would have made sure to take vengence, so the boys should consider themselves lucky. It ended up me grasping on to Casey's wrists, and him gently lowering me to the cold concrete, head on the ground first followed by the rest of me.

If you have any ideas for classfication topics (I have an in-class essay Tuesday) please let me know, this is urgent. It can be anything, just that I can write two pages in two hours on. Like our teacher suggested shoes, Nike, Reebok, and Adidas, based on comfort, quality, and price. Things like that. If you have an good topics, please post them for me to consider. :) Just a topic, I'll figure out the rest.

So then today, at church there were many people, we finally got to sing choir, and we sang the Arise, Shine song, not sure that's the name, almost positive it isn't even, and Peace, Peace, a confusing yet mentally stimulating song. You definitely have to think about it to hit the right notes and the right tempo and softness. It was very fun though. Then Cathy, Mike, Megan (she went back home today, tear), Matt, Jk, Josh, David, Becky, Kelli, Candie, Leah, Casey, Marty, Scott, I think acutally almost all of the O'keefe family, Brett, uhm, and I'm sure alot of other people I just can't remember, but we all went to Pizza Factory, it was good. Joey and I played the dance game, Leah and Candie did, yeah, that's about it I think, some other people maybe. Well, then me, Scott, Casey, Candie, and Leah went to Marty's (Marty left at the same time as us anwyay) and then we all rode in Scott's car except Casey who drove himself to Scott's house because dirt roads are bad on cars, hehe. Then we stayed there 'til about 7 or so and edited the Martha Stewart movie we made. Well, mostly they made, I just got to be the stock broker (Woot! Look for me in the red carpet premier!) So I was pretty tired due to lack of sleep (Yes Josh, I've been deprived of my hobby this weekend sooo much!) so I was able to stay awake most of the time and it was really fun! They put new sound waves in, they played with the speed, it was ridiculously fun. I just loved the company. Well, I think I slept for maybe half an hour, hehe. Then we went home and I had to drive with no other people in my car with me, tear. It was okay though, kind of nice. And my spedometer cable is screwed up now, and when it had moisture on it, it makes a lovely noise and freaks out, so I had to guess my speed according to my RPMs, that was fun. I think I did alright. Leah and Candie drove behind me most of the way too. Then I ate when I got home, Candie left, I watched part of Ice Age with Dad, (it was on tv) and now I'm online talking to Scott. Jk called me too, and I talked to him for a bit. He wrote my number on a dollar and guess what, he spent it today at Pizza Factory. Grr! He's a bum! Haha! He says to expect people calling me now, good one Jk. Well, over all, today was a very fun day, and now after such a long weekend, I need to go review Spanish after a while, set my alarm, put my books in order for tomorrow, and get dressed for bed and brush my teeth and stuff like that. I have some rocksome picture from this weekend that are going on my photo blog next I get the chance! That's about it. I hope you all have a lovely week! Leave many comments for me to read, they'll bring me up during the week! :)

My old title was going to be Tri-city Pie Shanking Contest, but with this down here, it had too much to do with the entry.
So here instead-
This will be fun, I found synonyms for shank: bayonet, brand, carve, chop, cleave, clip, cut, drive, gore, hit, hurt, injure, jab, jag, knife, open up, penetrate, pierce, plow, plunge, prick, prong, punch, ram, run through, saber, stab, sink, slice, spear, stick, thrust, transfix, wound

Status: Gullible

I found out the absolute coolest thing today, and I wish you could hear me saying this because there is so incredibly much animation in my voice. Okay, it's really hard to explain, so you have to try it. Casey showed us: Call one cell phone with another cell phone, the two being in the same room. Then put the talking speaker to the listening speaker both ways, and listen to the noise it makes. It sounds like an alien type noise! It's weird! Anyways, this is a very cool thing, and I highly advise you all to go out and try this.

In other news, Megan's been here since yesterday afternoon, she's having me teach her guitar! Fun! :) She and I stayed up 'til 4 in the morning talking, woke up at 10:30, and then got dressed and all that, then went to the mall to meet Casey to eat pizza and her got Dairy Queen. Well, then we went to Blockbuster, got Dumb and Dumberer, came home, Josh, Kelli, Becky, Katie, and David came over, and we watched Elf and then they left and me Casey, Candie, (she's here too, aw!!)Leah, and Megan watched Dumb and Dumberer. I have to say, it wasn't as gross as the first one, big relief. Anyway, then after that, we were going to play Life, but realized the instructions were missing, so now they are all playing Phase 10 and I'm not because I can only handle that game like, once a year. We have church and choir tomorrow, I think that's all. Go try the phone thing! :)

Zonkey Boats and Straw Cards

Well, thanksgiving is a time to be thankful. I'm very thankful that I have some time to learn to cook before I get married. We learned something new tonight: dish towels do not suffice as pot holders. I am a pretty nice person, I don't think we'll get any objections there. I also kind of got the short end of the stick on the grace bargain with God (Scotty's nickname for me is Grace, he's such a funny kid...). Well, I went to take the cookies out of the oven with an ever-too-thin dish towel when I realized that it was way thinner than I thought it was. Now, it's only about maybe three feet from the oven to the stove where I was going to set the said nemesis, Cookie Sheet. I moved as I analyzed the dangers of just dropping it where I stood, and agreed with a mental note that I best move towards the stove. Well, I safely placed the cookies there, saving the cookies, in a sense, and when I had a minute to register the pain, I could have screamed out loud it was so bad. I definitely need to brush up on Grace and Baking 101. This was a very painful lesson. I've been icing my thumb and the side of my index finger for about five hours, and the blister on my thumb is painfully gigantic. My index finger isn't so bad, it just stings. My thumb is causing it to be excessively hard to do anything including this update. The pain is nearly without mercy and is very relentless. I have this blister and it's hurting. This is as far as my post goes. Other than that I had a very nice thanksgiving and hope all of you did too! :) (My poor future husband....)

The Monkey is in the Factory

Well, so much excitement! This is part of my update spree, updating all of my blogs and such. So it snowed today! Sooo much! Yesterday it was a little cold, last night it rained, today we were supposed to go to church and sing a Prayer of Thanksgiving in choir, my absolute favorite song, for both services. Well, it all began when I awoke to the ever-so-lovely ringer on my cell phone, Animaniacs. It was Scott. He called to ask if I was going to church, I said well yes, and then he told me to look out my window. I was in absolute disbelief as I pulled back a slot in my vertical blinds. There had to be 6 inches of snow lined up on the wall by the pool, and the cement around the pool had a decent amount, not to mention the pile on the roof. Scott, being the rocksome person that he is, told me that he would come pick me and Leah up for church (Candie had spent the night too, but due to my extreme lack of concsiousness in the early mornings, this didn't occur to me. Well, I told him I would have to call him back on that one. I informed Leah of the snow after thoroughly brushing away my wretched morning breath. I first told asked Leah if she was getting ready for church? She confirmed this, and I then proceeded to question as to whether or not she had peered out through the window yet. She informed me that she had not, and I said there was a ton of snow outside. Immediately Candie and Leah rushed to her window to unveil the same beauty I had observed just minutes before. Well, to cut the minor details, Mom and Dad said they prefer we not trek in the snow. Scott was driving around Phelan in his truck by the time I called to inform him of this news, but then a major idea flooded my mind, Scott can come here after church! Well, I was terribly sad about not getting to sing in choir my favorite song, however, the day that would follow made up for this inconvenience.

We asked Scott to invite people over to my house, and he did so accordingly. Within just hours, we had Scott, Marty, Heidi, Victor, Candie, Steve, Maggie, Mike, Casey, and David over to play in the snow. Marty built a huge snowman, all of us had a snow fight, and then we came inside to talk for a while. It was a most amazing day. The snow didn't stop for hours upon hours either, and it would stay lightly no matter what. It has now stopped, but it continues to come in slight bursts every once in a while. I'm hoping that school will be canceled tomorrow, though it is unlikely and I will probably receive a second absent for the semester. I started teaching Casey to play the guitar too, it was a fun time.

In other news, Megan is going to come up on Friday and stay probably through Sunday! I'm so excited! I cannot wait to see her, and Thanksgiving is coming as well. Well, I am now going to go bust out my Christmas CDs while I get ready for bed, and then show myself to my eyelids. It's been a time since we have really seen eachother, so I definitely want to get a long, good look at them tonight. I hope you all sleep well and enjoy whatever weather you have, whether snow, like most of us, or no snow, like poor Josh. I wish you could have gotten to play in the snow Josh! Hopefully soon!

The Epic Adventures of the Hole and the ID Card

This is Casey. He has a long piece of cardboard box. We are at McDonald's.

This is Jk, he has a pool cue, and it is in a huge hole.

What has he got, by golly? What has he got?

Could it be, yes! It is, it's Candie's ID card folks! And what else is that? look at that folks, it's the 6 pieces of gum that Jk and Casey chewed to create this contraption!

This is Casey placing the huge wood thing with a slot in it on the huge table thing with a hole in it back.

So as it may be rather dificult to understand the plot without some form of background, I will elaborate. We went to McDonald's last night, Scott, Leah, Candie, Jk and myself. We called Casey and invited him. We finished eating our ice cream (1 for 1 dollar, or [check out this bargain] 2 for 2 dollars! No lie!) and Casey showed up. So Jk and Casey were playing steal Candie's wallet. Well, there just so happened to be, at the table where we were sitting, some strange thing where a fountain/plant used to be. Don't know what happened to it, but it was gone in any case. So There was a slot in the top of this thing, and Casey took Candie's ID card. Being the joker he is, he threw it in the slot! Candie was thinking, "Oh great! We can't get it out now!" Then we realized that the cover with the slot comes off. Candie was elated. Then we realized that the small hole in near the end further from Casey was the place he'd thrown it. Of all places! The hole went all the way to the ground where her ID card lay alone. It just so happened that Scott (don't know why) had a pool cue in his car... and his camera! You'd think we'd planned this! So he got it, Casey and Jk chewed much gum for this. They stuck it to the pool cue, and the rest is history! It was an amazing adventure and many laughs were shared. Then Casey stuck his nasty spitty gum hands all over my face and hair and flat out attacked me. It was so gross. We laughed a lot, and Greg showed up right after, he missed it all! Yes, it's true, we were in a very "sticky" situation. The joke was thought of by many, but first said by the brave Leah (Warrior Great). It was a most entertaining night, and I am so terribly glad that Casey showed.

Cholestoral Plans

Well, I'm about to go to an extra practice for choir with Leah and Candie, and we're picking up Jk on the way. Well, I studied Spanish for like, 4 hours today, and I still don't get it completely. Even the Spanish speaking people in our class are confused! It's awful! Oh well, we'll se how I do. Anyways, I didn't do like, any of my home studies either. I will survive, I can do double on Friday if I can't finish it tonight. Well, I need to go finish getting ready for choir. I'm gonna get another blog, sadly. It's exciting, but waaaaay too much to keep up on. Me and Casey are going to have a joint blog soon, so keep an eye out for it! :)

Mountain Pines

I'm talking to Matt right now. He's the best. I went to Mollie's birthday party today. It was so fun! They had a bounce house! Woot! Me and Special K(atie) went in it when all the little kids weren't in it, and she ran into me, and my thumb nail got torn up. Ahh! Then I was standing by Kelli near a wall, and she hit a picture frame that fell and hit my hand. They abuse me over there! :) I also cleaned my bathroom in the morning. Marty just called and told me to keep Scott and his family in our prayers, his grandpa just passed away like, 15 minutes ago, so pray for him. Anyway, that's all. I hope Scott's okay.

Dismantling the Union

Well, Casey, Maggie, Steve, and Sandy came over tonight. They're still here. We're talking and eating and stuff. :) I know, I know, lame update guys, but I seriously have nothing happening these days! :)

HB 2 USA

Well, learning about the present subjunctive in Spanish today, and if you ask me, it's alltogether too much work. It's not terribly confusing, only some of the conjugations of verbs have got me totally puznelled. But I am soo glad to be on my weekend, it's not even funny. But I can already sense the procrastination of the homework happening. I was putting off studying about the embryonic stem cell research thing all day, and I really need to get that done probably most, and I need to do my Spanish homework and lab manuel. Then I should be fine. It won't take me but a couple of hours, but I just have zero drive to do it. Heh... :) Well, I'm talking to Manda, and this entry should suffice for now. When something interesting actually happens, I will post it on here, or try to remember to. :) That's it. "It's over!!" Lol! :)

Iago... looks like Lago, it's not, it's Iago, like the bird, with an i

So Matt changed his profile... Woot!! Go Matt! Finally you showed us you ARE alive! We love ya Matt! We're just waiting for that post that we've been expecting for two months. ;) Well, school, homework, awesome Mike who fixed my computer. I was sayin' this to Kelli in a message to her on her myspace, I had totally taken for granted having a computer in my room, and right then it broke, and then I forgot how much I liked it, and it's so nice again, even if it's pretty slow. At least the internet is fast. Well, that's probably all for now, I ate popcorn that my Mama made. :) Mmm... I need to get ready for bed so I don't end up having to do it at like, 11:30 tonight. I had to walk all weird today because of that sticker I stepped on last night... so painful. Today was not very productive, but I've noticed that on days I make my bed, I can't feel THAT unproductive. I always feel like at least I got something done. I made my bed today... :) Hey, and I did all my homework by the nice warm fire too, that's stuff, right? And me and Mom went and got lunch for Dad and her and Mike and me. Wow, and amazingly, I still feel like I didn't do anything. I have a looong day tomorrow, English is gonna be rough too, finally preparing for a new assignment, unfortunately it's going to be an in-class essay, ahhhh!!! Hate those ones, but with enough prayer and my blessed genius, I should be able to pull it off I hope. Hehe! :) So pray for me ya'll. That's it, I have myspace, let me try to find the link for you... Woot! First link I clicked was it! Here: http://profiles.myspace.com/users/10313751 Excitment!! :)

Why Do We Put Pictures on the Fridge and Not the Microwave? Or toaster? Or Washing Machine?

Well, I just got Mike ice cream, then as I was walking into the office and turning on the computer, I stepped on the hugest sticker (like a thorn for you non-deserters) and it went soooo deep into my foot it hurts like crazy, and I want to cry! On a lighter note, I went to 7 tonight, the first time I've gone in a while where I wasn't greeting because it seems like I always have other things going on all weeks except mine to greet. So Mike's working on the computer right now. He's the best. My foot still hurts. :( Anyways, I have school again tomorrow, is it so wrong that I just totally don't want to go? Hmm, I think not. Oh yeah, we got cookies home made tonight at 7, some people made them for 7 to get the point across that you can serve in other ways than just getting up and being pastor. It was so awesome! :) This one guy I know, Jason, he got to act like he was making them up on stage, but we all know he didn't really help! ;) Such a bum! :) Anyways, I have school tomorrow, but at least it's only my one class, that's what I like about this semester, one class Mondays and Wednesdays and two Tuesdays and Thursdays, that way I ease into the week. I read the first chapter of 1 Timothy tonight, it was about misleading teachings and such, a letter from Paul. It was rather quite interesting. Well, that's about all folks, I need to skidaddle off to bed now to get some much-deserved sleep. My teeths are brushed and flossed and my face is already washed. Now off to bed I shall run to prepare for the rising sun. Pretty and rested, it's what I must be to leave the sun an impression that's lasting. Ah, man, bust it out!!! Like, 42 seconds that took, oh yeah. I'm soo good. God has blessed me though, seriously, it's really cool for more than one reason that I just wrote that. It's a very very good sign. Very. Well, sleep, sleep, sleep. We all love Mike. :) Goodnight.

Sheets and Chamois

Oh, that's right, why Mrs. Golder canceled class. She got a concussion, I think you all knew that, but she was walking out of Roadhouse, and I guess there were some pipes like pvc or something hanging out of the bed of someone's truck and it was dark, and they were like, head level and she ran into and fell back and sat there knocked out for a couple minutes. Poor Mrs. Golder! So sounds like something I'd do, hehe. :) She broke her nose this semester by walking into a door, she's just like me, but worse. Haha! Well, we had Casey over last night, I don't really remember what we did, watched TV, Leah and he played Mancala, I played guitar, and then I guess we just talked. I got really tired and it wasn't like my mind was too tired, my body was just so tired that they'd pick on me and I could hear what I wanted to say but I just couldn't say it. Well, I'm trying to get Jesus to come up today, it's doubtful though because he's a bum.

Maybe Next Time I'll Just Tell You I Studied for Days....

I am listening to Nightingale by Norah Jones right now. It's a good song. So while I was watching Smallville tonight, was I the only one who noticed that they are now endorsed by Old Spice? And Red Zone? Well, I totally saw it on a ton of banners, ten commercials for it, and he had some in his locker... Oh yeah, very *ahem* subtle, I do say. Well, it was a good episode, the first extremely good one in a while. Wow, I totally forgot why I was going to post. Oh yeah, there it is: I want to publicly thank Casey for helping me with Algebra these past few days or weeks or months that have felt like centuries because each second with Algebra drags by like waiting for drops of water to fall from the desert sky. Well, Casey, thankyou sooooooo incredibly much for your help! If it weren't for you, I'd have either gotten a D on my Algebra test today, or spent four hours on it or something. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!!! I definitely need to bake you a cookie that's like, 10 inches in diameter or something... Lol! :) Thanks Casey, you're the best!!

Well, yesterday my English class was canceled, it was sooo nice, but I felt kind of bad because I guess my teacher had somehow gotten a concussion. When I find out how, I'll try to remember to post it on here, Mom, remind me!! Now it's the song Painter Song, even better, by Norah Jones still. Anyways, I got my Spanish test back today, I got a 95%, which I suppose isn't bad, but it definitely is not as good as I had hoped for. I don't know why, but this semester in Spanish, I have been trying harder, and doing worse. Grrr!! Oh well, I just think it's because I'm so competitive because I thought about it, and in my homestudies classes, I could get a 95% and be fine, but I just have to be ranked 1 in my Spanish class for some reason. So then today, that was pretty much all that happened, my Algebra test, Spanish test, did a lot of homework, I don't know, went out to dinner with some people, customers and friends I suppose... I loove the song on that commercial it sounds all discoey, I loves it. :) Talk about it, talk about it, talk about it, some othe words I don't know.... lala!! Well, yeah. So then, that was all. I don't want to go to school tomorrow, oh yeah, and I sat in Spanish lab today, and it was so crowded cause some learn English class was in there, I think it was from German or something, so I had to sit in the freezing cold spot where the air (why they have the air on in the fall is beyond me, it was warmer outside than in there) but then the class left, so I moved to a different spot. Then as I was getting ready to leave, I noticed I couldn't find my pencil box, I had left it at my other spot with my ID card, at least if someone had found it, they'd know who it belonged to, right? Well, luckily like, no one else came into lab during that time, so it was still there like, five feet away, but still. You know, the room isn't that big, like, the size of a maybe three family sedans or something, I don't know. Anyways, I went and got it and left. Well, this was a boring day kind of, but a surprisingly long post. Hold on, gotta tell Daddy g'night. Okay, well, that's really all. I have a long day tomorrow, pray for me.
